All good art is an indiscretion
The Challenge
Casarotto Ramsay is the UK's leading stage and screen agency, representing established names such as Alan Ayckbourn, Nick Hornby, Terry Gilliam, J G Ballard and the estates of Roald Dahl, H G Wells and Tennessee Williams. The agency wanted to reinvigorate their brand to reflect their position as a global contemporary and aspirational player.
The ODD Solution
We wanted the brand to span several significant creative and cultural era’s and felt the 70’s provided the broadest emotional connection to Casarotto’s client base. This led us to explore the use a typeface that is based on a 70’s original. The logotype is always sliced between the front and back of the stationary and the colourway also gives the new identity a cinematic and sophisticated feel. Its orientation and arrangement is reminiscent of a 35mm slide taken from an animation, not yet in frame. The website has been rebuilt to focus on it’s main function – a tool to find clients (i.e. the film directors and writers etc), view their previous work and CV’s and get in touch with their agents.
