At the end of August each year, families and kids across the UK are preparing themselves for what is both the end of the summer holiday and the start of the new school year. This ‘Back to School’ period sees retailers battling it out for a share of the market, which is estimated to be worth approximately £350m.
JD Sports are amongst those retailers seeking to kit out kids for school and back in June they approached ODD to help them stand out on the high street by bringing to life their ‘Make your Mark’ campaign within the windows of three their flagship stores; Manchester’s Trafford Centre, Liverpool One and London, Stratford.
ODD wanted to provide a sense of illusion and depth to the windows and as such, designed, produced and installed a solution for each site, which used a mix of vinyls and three-dimensional build, integrating product displays amongst the illustrated graphics.
The feedback from JD Sports was unanimously positive both in terms of the strength of the windows themselves and in our management of the end to end process. So much so, we’ve been briefed to design the most important windows of the year…Christmas.
