ODD is launching in the US after winning the Perry Ellis global creative account. The London agency is setting up an office in New York to service its new client, which also has offices in New York and headquarters in Miami.
ODD won the integrated Perry Ellis account, the remit for which includes the advertising for the brand’s fragrance line, after a competitive pitch process involving 3 US agencies.
ODD has previously worked with Los Angeles-based fast fashion retailer, Forever 21, on brand development and positioning, social strategy and seasonal campaigns. ODD has also held the global accounts for other leading fashion and lifestyle brands over its 13-year history, with campaigns for the likes of Dr. Martens, Primark, Henri Lloyd, adidas and Lacoste all having run in the US.
This is the first time the agency, part of the Next 15 Communications Group, will have its own presence in the US, initially focusing on its expertise in the fashion retail sector.
Of the partnership, Kathryn Jubrail, Managing Partner, ODD said: “We are delighted to be working with a fashion brand with such a rich heritage in helping to define American sportswear. We look forward to continuing our new journey together.”
ODD became part of the Next 15 Communications Group at the end of 2015, not long after winning the MR PORTER and the pan-European Levi Strauss & Co. business. At the time, Nick Stickland, Co-Founder & Executive Creative Director at ODD, cited that the partnership represented “an exciting step” in helping facilitate international growth.
